Made In London

Veshin’s expansion to London represents a natural next step in its global journey. After establishing roots in China and building strategic partnerships in Colombia, Italy, and Brazil, the company recently restructured into an international manufacturing group to support its growing network. With a solid framework now in place for onboarding new partners, it was the right time to establish a UK presence. This move allows Veshin to offer localized production, support onshoring for British brands, and reduce carbon emissions through shorter supply chains, all while proudly contributing to the resurgence of ethical manufacturing in the UK.

About

The London Leather Workshop was founded by Italian designers and makers Sara Battiston and Melissa Bruscoli in 2012.

Both graduates in fashion and accessory design, they brought together over 20 years of combined experience from Italy and the UK to build a small, specialist studio in South East London focused on bag and accessory making and designing.

Leveraging their dual roles as designers and makers, they offer end-to-end services: from design consultancy and material sourcing, through product development and prototyping, to small and medium batch manufacturing for both established and emerging brands.

Supported by a trusted network of specialists, including machinists, pattern cutters, artisans, and prototype makers, the team manages production across a wide range of accessory types, from high-street to high-end collections.

As part of their continuously evolving services, they also introduced professional leathercraft, bag-making, and accessory design training through group and one-to-one courses, broadening their support for aspiring designers, career changers, and professionals looking to advance their skills.

The London Leather Workshop’s philosophy centres on quality, sustainability and transparent collaboration. They work closely with eco-conscious brands that share their values and partner with trusted suppliers to support responsible, ethical production at every stage.

In 2023, they have expanded into e-commerce, offering leathercraft tools and bag-making supplies both in London and online through their store, The Bag Making Suppliers

Their goal is to create a one-stop destination where brands, designers, and students can find everything they need, both materials and expert assistance, under one roof.
